Anti-Bullying week in P1

19th Nov 2020

We are celebrating Anti-Bullying week in P1.  On Monday we wore our odd socks to show that we are all different, special and unique.  During PDMU lessons every day we have listened to stories about things we can do that make us all different.  We heard about Angry Arthur and Little Miss Angry.  The bullies in the story caused the main character to feel angry so we learnt about what to do if we are bullied and who to talk to.  These people in our school are called 'safe people.' We looked at our class poster and saw that Rían's mum is also one of our School Keeping Safe People.

We listened to Mrs Mc Keown read a fantastic storybook called 'Elephant Me' by Giles Andreae and Guy Parker-Rees.  The story encourages us to be ourselves, celebrate being different and special.  You can also watch this story book reading on the school website at home too.

We designed our own jigsaw piece for our school Anti-Bullying Poster competition.  They all look amazing on our class wall display for Anti-Bullying week.
