Catholic School's Week Invitation

21st Jan 2020

Our school’s Catholic ethos is very important to us here in Dromintee Primary School.  We are hosting a number of events to mark Catholic Schools Week and we’d like to invite you, our school family to some of them.  The theme for Catholic Schools’ Week is ‘Living in Harmony with God’s Creation’.  The primary 4 children will launch the week’s activities at Mass on Sunday in St Patrick’s Church.   Their ‘Do This In Memory Of Me’ Mass will be at 11am on Sunday 26th January 2020.  Everyone is invited.  On Friday 31st January we will host our annual Grandparents appreciation Mass in the church at 9.30am.  Grandparents are invited back to school for a cup of tea.  At 11 o’clock they will visit their grandchildren’s classes to make a St Brigid’s cross.  This has become a recent tradition in the school and is a fantastic intergenerational workshop.  At 1.15pm on Friday 31st January the Primary 7 children will lead an assembly entitled, ’Living In Harmony in Our Catholic School’ to which their families are invited.  We will have our Dicosean Advisory, Mr John Campbell, with us for the day.  Please do join us.
