Under the Sea

10th Jun 2025
We have been so busy developing our creative and expressive skills during our Under the Sea topic. Have a look at our fantastic creatures, artwork, diver, 3d yellow submarine and little DIY boat or lighthouse projects. We also loved a hot- seating drama session based on the storybook “Goldilocks and the three Crocodiles.” We used our musical imaginations to participate in our own little sea poems with musical sound effects and created our own musical score to complement our ‘Jellyfish Jingle’ book. We designed a huge hammerhead shark with Julia and we were interested in learning more facts about sharks. Some pupils used their literacy skills to create their own little storybooks, example titles included: The Sea-keepers lunch; The Mermaid who had no Friends.  We had a visit from one of the P4 pupils to show us their class pet- two goldfish. He answered lots of inquisitive questions from P1’s and we had an opportunity to listen to sounds of the sea and a collection of sea poems.  Well done to all the P1 pupils for their enthusiasm and efforts during this topic. We hope you enjoy a lovely trip to the Sea-side during the summer holidays.
