A very special visitor
13th Nov 2025
Today we had a special visitor to our classroom. Mrs Courtney Donnelly, Ciágh’ mummy, came to tell us all about being a nurse.
We asked her lots of interesting questions and she demonstrated examples of things she has to do being a nurse in Daisy Hill Hospital. We listened to a real heart beat, measured out some pretend medicine for our patients, learnt how to put on a bandage and most importantly we learnt how and why we wash our hands to keep germs away.
We really enjoyed her visit and thank her for giving her time to enhance our topicwork.
