Action Mental Health: Final workshop

1st Jun 2021

We had another enjoyable session with Geraldine from Action Mental Health today.  The objectives for today focussed on: 1. Asking for help. 2. The power of positive words and 3. Being Brave.
We chatted to Geraldine about important people who can help us and that asking for help is being brave.  We saw lots of examples in the ‘Turbo’ film clip about friends supporting each other.  We learnt a new breathing technique called ‘lift breathing’ and Geraldine was so impressed when we shared our special individual talents with her.  Some of these talents included: Irish dancing, speaking Irish, horse-riding, loving Numbertime, going to Maths club, being a good friend, a good sister/brother, being a good listener, knowing lots of facts about different topics and we even had a boy speaking in French! She was so impressed with our good listening, co-operation and how kind we are in words and deeds.  She said that she was sad to be leaving us but will keep a picture of Slieve Gullion in her happy box to remember her visit to Dromintee PS.
