Concluding Catholic Schools Week

28th Jan 2022

We finished celebrating Catholic Schools' Week today thinking about how we live life to the full and face the future.  The Covid-19 pandemic brought so many changes and challenges to our lives.  As we reflect on this, we look forward with hope to the future.  Together as a school community we pray together for brighter days ahead.  Fr Seamus blessed two new statues in our school grounds where we will have special dedicated prayer spaces.  The children who read at Mass last Sunday to launch CSW got a special prize.  Fr Seamus blessed everyone in our school family.  We had a fantastic Catholic Schools' Week and we are finishing today with fun activities Friday.

The men's senior Armagh football team are well represented in Dromintee PS.  Mr McConville is on teaching practice in Primary 7 from St Mary's College, Belfast.  Mr Burns has been teaching P6 from the beginning of the year.  The whole school community cheered them on, wishing them luck for the first game in the Allianz League in Dublin tomorrow evening.  Mrs McKeown told the children that it was fitting that on Monday we celebrated talents and skills, and it was the dream of Mr Burns when he was their age to play football for his county in Croke Park and it had been realised.  Ádh mór
