Mrs Mc Keown kindly posted the book “ A long walk to water” to all the members of our eco committee to read whilst off school.
I received a passionate, enthusiastic and determined email from Mia who is in p7 and a member of our eco committee. Since reading this book Mia has lots of brilliant ideas such as creating awareness of how precious water is by having the children to undertake a “ DIY water walk” which is a eight mile walk over a given time period. Mia also thought organising an educational talk from a guest speaker would help children get a good insight into how precious water is.
Maybe this week check audio books or NI libraries so you can read / listen to the book which has inspired Mia and many others to make a change.
