On Monday we were incredibly proud and delighted to welcome the Dromintee minor football team to our school.
They are the current Armagh League, County and Ulster Champions and, on top of their sporting achievements, they proved to be an exceptionally mannerly, respectful and inspiring group of young men.
The children were buzzing with excitement as they met their heroes, proudly wearing their club colours. There were plenty of thoughtful questions during the Q&A session - and more than a few funny moments that everyone enjoyed!
We also took the opportunity to congratulate the Abbey contingent on their fantastic MacRory Cup success and wished them the very best of luck in the All Ireland semi-final on Saturday.
A special thank you goes to the club for the generous gift packs presented to our P1 children. We’re certain that among them are plenty of future stars in the making!
To the players: thank you for giving up your time to visit and inspire the next generation. When you are part of a team, you always have friends, support, and a strong sense of belonging. We hope this is only the beginning of continued success for our local club and all our young sporting stars.
